Kari’s Kitchen, located at the Windermere Valley Golf Course, has seen a steady season of business on and off the green. The clubhouse eatery has been a long-standing spot for both golfers and valley locals to sit back, relax, and enjoy a full and affordable meal.

Food and beverage manager Kari Dawson has watched the Kitchen gradually change from offering simple hot dogs and sandwiches to a full menu. New this year at the Kitchen is a breakfast buffet, which has fared very well.

“It’s done well, both with golfers and non-golfers,” Dawson says. “On Sunday we have a regular group of locals who come for the buffet.”

While golfers on the course do make up the bulk of the business, Kari’s Kitchen does have a loyal clientele of locals and those who are working in and around the area. Kari’s Kitchen also offers catering and take-out, take-out being quite popular for those working in the area who come to the course to pick up their lunch.

As for the menu items themselves, Kari’s Kitchen has an ample selection of salads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers (a popular menu choice), pizza, a unique selection of pies and more. Most to all meal items come with a large variety of side choices. Kitchen menu items are made fresh-to-order and have home-made recipes.

“Definitely one of our strengths is our portion sizes and cost,” said Dawson. “It’s family-friendly, and you don’t have to be golfing to come here and enjoy the food.”
