A member of Salmon Arm Savings and Credit Union is the B.C. winner of one million Choice Rewards MasterCard points.

Last summer Andrew Stoney was approved  for a new Choice Rewards MasterCard before heading off to university and was automatically entered in the 2016 Summer Campaign “One Million Reasons” Contest.

While he can use them toward purchases of gift cards, travel, merchandise or even a charitable donation, the one million points equal a cash rewards equivalent of $10,000, a great bonus for the Trinity Western University student.

“It didn’t register at first, until I found out the points equalled $10,000,” says Stoney. “The money will really help with my education expenses, so it’s a great surprise.”

“We’re very excited that one of our members won such an amazing prize,” says Julie Langham of SASCU Financial Group. “Choice Rewards offers several bonuses throughout the year for new, eligible MasterCard applications. I’m sure it will be a great help to Andrew in paying for his education costs.”
