Women in business are gathering Thursday (Feb. 23) at an event called Celebrating Women in Business. It features a diverse showcase of women-owned/operated business ventures.
Held at R.C. Garnett Elementary (7096 201 Street, Langley) from 6:30 to 9 p.m., Celebrating Women in Business will feature more than 25 exhibitors, from handmade jewelry creations to eco-friendly moving solutions, career coaching, a specialty candy store and even a gluten free bakery. Langley’s own Into Chocolate Candy & Confections, 30 Minute Hit and Makeup Infusion are just a few of the diverse women-owned businesses participating in this unique event.
This is the second event of its kind organized by Caree Bray, a Langley mortgage specialist with Dominion Lending Centres.
“As a woman in business, I think it’s important to connect with and promote other women who own/operate their own ventures,” Bray says. “This event is an opportunity for us all to come together, showcase what we do and enjoy a fun, relaxing evening with our colleagues and with other local women who live in the area. Everyone is invited.”
Guests to this free event will enjoy fun activities such as “Pretty in a Quickie” eyelash extension services from Noir Lash Lounge, a fun photo booth by Jennifer Kirk Photography and a free Zumba class from 8:30 – 9:00pm with dynamic duo Stephanie Campos and Anne Gordon of Zumba with FitRepublic. Refreshments will be provided and door prizes from each exhibitor will be given away throughout the evening.
