National Geographic photographer is the guest speaker

Abbotsford Photo Art Club’s 37th annual photographic seminar features acclaimed photographer Frans Lanting on Saturday, Oct. 25.

Lanting will introduce participants to different ways to interpret the natural world with a camera.

As a National Geographic photographer, Lanting has documented wildlife from the Amazon to Antarctica for three decades, capturing images that convey a passion for nature and a sense of wonder about our living planet.

He has produced photo essays profiling ecological hot spots, American landscapes, and wildlife around the globe. His books have received awards and acclaim.

The seminar takes place at Michael J Fox Theatre, 7373 MacPherson Ave. in Burnaby. Doors open at 8:15, and Lanting’s presentation begins at 9:15.
