Due to the overwhelming success of the Qualicum Acoustic Cafe, tickets will now be sold ahead of time, rather than at the door.
The next performance will feature folk singer Ian Tamblyn on Friday, March 4 and tickets can be purchased starting today at the Vintage Candy Shop in Qualicum Beach.
Organizers said the location, the Rotary Hall, is a perfect venue for acoustic performances and provides a cosy atmosphere, so the event will remain there.
Tamblyn was awarded 2010 English Songwriter of the Year award at the Canadian Folk Music Awards and has also won a Juno. He has recorded 29 albums and written over 1,500 songs, many of which have been recorded by other artists. His latest album, In Dreams Behold, is only available online only, for free. It’s a collection of Celtic songs from his travels in Ireland and Scotland over the years.

Tickets for the Acoustic Cafe are $5, youth are free. If any tickets remain unsold they will be available at the door.
The Vintage Candy Shop is located at 119 W. 2nd Avenue, beside Gary’s Bistro in Qualicum Beach.
