Alberni Teens Can Rock will debut their acoustic version next week at a BC harbourmasters’ convention at the Best Western Barclay Hotel.
The dialed-down show focuses on some of the female members of the group and their vocal abilities. It also gives the group a mellower sound, so they can play as background for some events, organizer Todd Flaro said.
“Their progress is just ridiculous,” he added. “We’re 22 songs into a two-hour set in three months. That’s total dedication.”
Members of the public can catch the unplugged show on Saturday, Jan. 21 when Alberni Teens Can Rock will play at the Arts, Culture and Heritage Engagement event at Echo Centre on Wallace Street.
They will also be featured at a fundraiser at Char’s Landing on Argyle Street on Monday, Jan. 23. Admission will be by donation.
