It was a room of maps, dice and strategy at the 10th annual BottosCon 2016 Board Game Convention at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel on Nov. 5.
The three-day event (Nov. 4-6), hosted by the North Shore Wargaming Society, saw more than 100 board game enthusiasts, many of whom brought games they created – often involving strategy, history and war.
The more creative themes ranged from The Reformation to the current Afghan insurgency to conflict between The Federation and The Klingon Empire.
The event also collected donations to the Share Society, a food bank in Coquitlam.
