Amy Helm rocks the festival circuit

Amy Helm joins a stellar lineup at the Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival, which runs Aug. 20 to 22.

Amy Helm will be performing at the Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival on August 20 and 21, on the heels of her recently released debut solo album Didn’t It Rain.

Rolling Stone recently premiered the video for her version of Sam Cooke’s Good News, one of the highlights of the album

Helm is best known for her work as a member of the alt-country collective Ollabelle and for her extensive work with her father Levon, who passed away in 2012.

Levon Helm is most famous for his work as drummer and vocalist for The Band.

Now, stepping out with her solo debut, Helm has been praised by Relix Magazine as well as Rolling Stone.

 

Helm will also be performing at the Edmonton Folk Festival and Pitchfork Social in Salt Spring Island as well as other venues in August.
