There is still time for local artists to register for the annual members’ exhibition at the Campbell River Art Gallery.
Feb. 3 and 4 are slated as this year’s drop off days for art to be shown at the gallery from Feb. 17 through March 15.
To exhibit a piece in the exhibition, participants must be members of both the Campbell River Art Gallery and Campbell River Arts Council.
The exhibition is a community tradition that features the work of dozens of regional artists. Artists, from professionals to newcomers, are encouraged to submit one “ready to display piece” of 2-D, 3-D or new media art for this popular exhibition.
Youth 19 and under may become Arts Council and Art Gallery members for a fee of $2 per organization.
Adult participants are asked to contribute a $10 entry fee.
Back by popular demand is the fundraiser, called TRACE.
TRACE features small original artworks on paper, on sale for only $50 each.
Donated artworks will be displayed without artist names and buyers will discover the artist’s name upon purchase. Proceeds will go towards covering the costs of the Members’ Exhibition.
