Christmas is certainly in the air and reflected on the streets of Armstrong with an array of Christmas lights and decor, promising the allure and magic of the season.
An absence of snow hasn’t stopped the Tapestry Women’s Choir from exploring the majestic sights and sounds of the season. The choir is about to offer the gift of music for anyone who loves the enchantment of this time of year on Dec. 16.
Last spring, Tapestry director Deborah Mehes asked choir members to bring forth suggestions of their most beloved Christmas songs and carols, said choir member Dorianne Kohl.
“A selection of many familiar and cherished songs, together with some less familiar yet lyrically and musically memorable, were presented to choir members in September,” she said.
“A patchwork quilt, as Mehes described it, will offer an opportunity for audiences to enjoy this unique blend of voices and music.”
Audiences will also have the opportunity during intermission to enjoy an array of tasty homemade goodies prepared by Tapestry singers, as well as coffee and apple cider, all included in the price of admission.
A Christmas Tapestry of Song happens at 1:30 and 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16 at Armstrong’s Centennial Theatre. Tickets are $10 on sale at the Brown Derby Café in Armstrong and at Hungry Jacks in Enderby.
