Art in Schools starts May 5

Book sale, Timbre! concert and more on the Alberni arts scene this week.

The Community Arts Council would like to send out a big thank you to all the artists, community venues; AV Museum, Char’s Landing, Train Station, DRAW Gallery, Blue Fish Gallery, the many hosts, volunteers and the community for making this year’s Days with the Arts event  a great success. Without the continuous support we wouldn’t be able to help support artists.

Art in Schools next exhibit

The Rollin Art Centre hosts a unique exhibit every year, showcasing several elementary school classes who take part in the “Art in the School” program. This year’s exhibit features four classes from, John Howitt, Gill, Eighth Avenue, and Wood school as well as students from Port Alberni Community Living.

This wonderful exhibit begins May 5 and will run until May 16. Join us for refreshments in the gallery, Saturday May 9th from 1-3 pm, by showing your support to these very young talented artists.
