Artisan call for upcoming Art on the Farm event

Sell your DIY wares at the 13th annual artisan event, held in beautiful Cultus Lake

The Craftworks Society is putting out its annual call for local artists to vend at its summer Art on the Farm event, and although the event took a break last year, it’ll be up and running for its 13th year on Aug. 18.

Free for the public, the community art event draws hundreds of visitors each year, and is a prime time to garner exposure for local artisans. Taking place under trees in a small hidden valley near Cultus Lake, the event is a relaxing, fun time for the whole family.

“I had an absolute blast at this show,” exclaimed Alicia Champ, the creative genius behind Chilliwack’s Hip Navy Beads. “I have never had so much fun at work, (and) I absolutely cannot wait for next year.”

To apply to be a vendor, new artists need to submit an application—available at artonthefarm.ca—to the jury: if selected, they then submit their registration form and payment, which ranges from $45 to $90 depending on how large of a spot is wanted at the event.
