Find your inner monologue
Transform storytelling and traditions into monologues this Saturday, Feb. 8 at a workshop (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) presented by Portal Players Dramatic Society.
Acclaimed writer Gwynne Hunt will help participants bring life to their performance pieces through brainstorming, writing and performing. Tickets are $22.50 ($12.50 for Portal Players members).
Romance with uptown dance
The Uptown Dance Group presents Romance and Dance, a fundraising event on Friday, Feb. 14 at The Bavarian Centre on Fourth Avenue. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Tickets are available in advance only ($20 each) at Triangle Music, Suzanne’s, Jim’s Clothes Closet, Gayle’s Fashions, Alberni Photography, Angels, Crystals and More and Urban Hair Studio. Proceeds go to ACAWS.
Actor needed for spring play
