Get a life and draw it

Draw Gallery will be hosting a Life Drawing workshop on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6–8 p.m. until Nov. 28. Please call Astrid at 250-724-2056 to reserve your place.

Natural exhibit

“Natural World” is the Rollin Art Centre’s current art exhibit and runs until Nov. 14.

Come and see the acrylic and mixed media collages assembled by Meghann Rader, which are coupled with glass frameworks by glass artist Halina Tayour.

The Rollin Art Centre is located at the corner of Eighth Avenue and Argyle Street. The second-floor gallery is wheelchair accessible. Admission is free. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Mistletoe Market coming

Mistletoe Market begins at the Rollin Art Centre on Nov. 15 and runs until Dec. 22. Don’t miss this transformation of the gallery into a winter wonderland of treasures. You won’t want to miss the gallery all dressed for Christmas.

Journaling through art

There is still space available in Cynthia Bonesky’s art journaling workshops, taking place Saturday, Dec. 15 and Sunday, Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Learn how to art journal, exploring a new creative outlet. Cost is $50 for the two-day workshop, at the Rollin Art Centre. A supply list will be made available when you sign up.

You can light up our lives

The Rollin Art Centre in conjunction with the Rotary Arts District’s “Light up your heART” event has come up with a new annual festival, taking place this year on Dec. 1 at the Rollin Art Centre. Celebration of Light; Luminaries and Paper Lantern Sculptures, is the theme of this magical event, which will include an outdoor market and carolling.

Timbre! turns 40 with class

Cinemagic is the title of the season’s first concert for Timbre! Choir.

With the closing of the ADSS Auditorium, Timbre! will hold its first two concerts at the Capitol Theatre on  Saturday, Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 4 at 2:30 p.m. Seating is limited. Tickets are on sale at the Rollin.
