Summer fun at Rollin
Let your child explore the creative summer programs at the Rollin Art Centre. Designed for children ages five to eight years, each week is a different theme.
Please call 250-724-3412 and book your spot as space is limited. Three-day week programs are $20 and run every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
Mornings: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. for ages five and six.
Afternoons: 1–3 p.m. for ages seven and eight.
Upcoming themes include Disney Magic, July 24–27; Yo Ho Yo Ho – A Pirates Life for Me, July 31–Aug. 3; Under the Sea Adventures, Aug. 7–10; Dinosaurs–The Great Reptiles, Aug. 14–17; and Space–The Final Frontier, Aug. 21–24.
Tea on the Terrace with Doug Gretsinger
Sit back and enjoy the beautiful gardens with friends, tasty treats, wonderful music and the costumes of the Centennial Belles. Today’s musical guest is singer Doug Gretsinger, at the Rollin Art Centre. Tea on the Terrace runs every Thursday until August 23. NEW this year is the purchase of $10 tickets, seating is limited. Tickets are available at the Rollin Art Centre. Price includes Tea, light lunch and musical entertainment
from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Rollin Art Centre is located at the corner of 8th and Argyle St.
In case of rain the Tea’s will be held at Char’s Landing.

Passport to Centennial Exhibits
You don’t need to apply to get these passports! Pick up a passport at the Rollin Art Centre, Museum, Maritime Museum or the Tourist Information centre and embark on a journey of discovery as you celebrate Port Alberni’s Centennial.
Explore three special Centennial Exhibits:
Centennial Inspirations at the Rollin Art Centre
Twin Cities Turn 100 at the Alberni Valley Museum
Port Alberni Harbour-1912 at the Maritime Discovery Centre
Have your passports stamped along the way, when you have all three stamps hand in your passport to receive a Centennial Pin.
Centennial Inspirations
Centennial Inspirations is the title of this very wonderful and exciting Art exhibit showcasing local artist at the Rollin Art centre. Inspiration was taken from the 1912 photos the artists randomly selected. Each artist added their unique style when creating this exhibit that is worthwhile viewing for the entire family. This exhibit will run in the Gallery from June 16 to August 15. Don’t miss this opportunity to see this one of a kind show. The Gallery is located at the corner of 8th and Argyle. Wheelchair accessible and admission is free.
Artisans Market at Rollin
Every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., The Rollin Art Centre will be having an artisans’ market in the garden. Add a lovely stroll through the gardens while watching the artists create those one of a kind pieces or just stop by to chat with the artists themselves. Midsummer’s eve art show
The Art Rave Society of Alberni presents A Midsummer’s Eve Art Show and Dance and membership drive this Friday, July 20 at the Bavarian Centre, 3031 Fourth Ave. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 and are available at The Rollin Art Centre, Island Gallery, Clock Tower Gallery, Jenny’s Fine Foods and Flandangles.
Come mingle and enjoy the works of local artists and the music of the Barry Bruyere Trio. At 8:30 p.m. meet the board and hear about the 2013 juried art show and arts festival.
At 9 p.m. dance the night away with the music of Maloomba Boogie band.
Weddings at Rollin
