Natural World is the Rollin Art Centre’s current art exhibit which starts Oct. 18 and runs until Nov. 14. This exhibit is a joint show featuring Halina Tayour’s glass frameworks and Meghann Rader’s pieces in acrylic and mixed media collage.
Their artist reception will be Saturday, Oct. 20 from 1–3 p.m. in the gallery at the corner of Eighth Avenue and Argyle Street. Wheelchair accessible and free admission. The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Timbre! opens 40th season
Cinemagic is the title of the season’s first concert for Timbre! Choir. With the closing of the Alberni District Secondary School (ADSS) Auditorium, Timbre! will be holding their first two concerts at the Capitol Theatre, Saturday Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 4 at 2:30 p.m.
Seating is limited. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors/students and $5 for children (12 & under free). Tickets are on sale at Rollin Art Centre, Echo Centre, Somass Drugs and Salmonberry’s. Tickets are also available from Timbre! members.
Date change for workshops
There has been a date change for Cynthia Bonesky’s workshop called Art Journaling.
The workshops will now take place Saturday, Dec. 15 and Sunday, Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Rollin Art Centre.
Learn how to art journal, exploring a new creative outlet and have fun. Cost is only $50 for the two-day workshop. Please call 250-724-3412 to reserve your spot.
30th annual Artisan Faire
The 30th annual Artisan Faire will be held Saturday, Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Italian Canadian Hall (located at 4065 Sixth Ave.).
