The Rollin Art Centre is currently closed and will re-open Tuesday, Jan. 10.

Next art Exhibit

Visit the Rollin Art Centre beginning Jan. 12 for a new art exhibit titled, Sockeye King, featuring artist Doug Blackwell.

Blackwell will be showcasing his collection of watercolours and mixed media with a fish and seashore theme.

Join us in the gallery, Saturday, Jan. 14 from 1-3 p.m., for refreshments and meet to meet the artist.

Musical Memories

Portal Players presents Musical Memories at the Capitol Theatre; celebrating 80 years at the Capitol Theatre.

The show will run on Jan. 6, 7, 8, 13 and 14.

Advanced tickets are $20 and available at the Rollin Art Centre, Capitol Theatre box office and online.

Film festival

The Alberni Valley Museum is proud to present the 2017 Winter Film Festival series.

The series will include four films on various Sundays at 5 p.m. at the Paramount Theatre.

The first film on Sunday, Jan. 29 is Maliglutit /Searchers.

The second film on Sunday, Feb. 26 will be Old Stone.

The third, on Sunday, March 26 will be Tulip Fever and on Sunday, April 23 the film is still to be announced.

A series pass of four films is $35.00 and single films are $10.00, available at the AV Museum.

Saturday, Jan. 21 from 8-11 p.m.- Concert- WiL’ – Canadian roots rocker.

Thursday, Jan. 26 from 7-9 p.m.- concert – Bentall Taylor Ulrich – bluegrass/folk.
