Top-notch dinner music
Anyone craving jazz and Italian food can cross both off their to-do list this week.
The Wigmore Stone Quintet returns to Victoria for a Thursday night show (Feb. 24) at Pagliacci’s.
With soulful funky jazz grooves, Brazilian bossa novas and romantic vocal jazz ballads, the quintet’s sound could be summed up as far out jazz with funky beats.
Featuring saxophonist Cameron Wigmore and vocalist Gillian Stone, the band will perform original compositions, as well as jazz classics including “Blue in Green,” “How Deep Is The Ocean,” and “It Don’t Mean A Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing.”
The show starts at 8 p.m. at Pagliacci’s, 1011 Broad St.
