June 2 to June 23

Illustrating for Comic Books and Storyboards with Peter Davies

The course is aimed at students from ages 12 to 17 and will will cover the planning, development and outline for a comic book or story book.

The cost is $67.20 for Gallery members and $77.20 for non-members.

June 3-4

Glitz and Glam – Vegas Style

  • Tidemark Theatre
  • Friday 7 p.m. and Saturday 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

CR DanceXtreme proudly presents their annual year end production. Come see the performance of a lifetime and an evening of music, entertainment, and glamour. Dancers of all ages will showcase their talent and technique in various styles of dance with the brilliance of Vegas.

Tickets  $19.50 Adults  $17.50 Students/Seniors

 

June 4

Super Saturday – Rub It

  • Campbell River Art Gallery
  • 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Participants will get a chance to create a one-of-a-kind abstract work of art by taking rubbings of plants, textures and found surfaces.

Super Saturday events are open to all ages, however, children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Admission is free, although donations are gladly accepted, and all materials are provided.

June 5

Pier Street Farmers Market and Arts Fair

  • CR Fishing Pier lot
  • 9 a.m to 2 p.m.

A great assemblage of local artists and crafters, combined with live music with recording artist Sue Pyper. Come down for the farm-fresh produce and fresh food.

 

June 7-28

Acrylic Adventures with Jessica Blue

  • Campbell River Art Gallery
  • 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

This four-week course is aimed at children ages 7 to 12. Students will work mainly with acrylic paint.
