A rock ‘n roll music trivia dance and dinner is planned for the Fairwinds Golf Clubhouse on Saturday, June 17.

The event will feature Greynotes Revival, and will take place in the Arbutus Room.

Dinner includes barbecue chicken and baby back ribs, costing $30 per person plus tax.

Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. with music trivia beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Fairies at Milner

Do you believe in fairies? Did you know fairies wear foxglove flowers as hats, gloves, and petticoats?

VIU’s Milner Gardens is holding its seventh annual fairy houses search from June 22 to 25.

Meander through the sun-dappled shadows of Milner Gardens on your self-guided search for fairy houses that may have magically appeared, in honour of International Fairy Day and Veronica Milner’s belief in fairies.

Admission for adults is $11, youths $6.50, and children 12 and under accompanied by an adult, Milner Gardens members, and current VIU students with card enter free.

The gardens are open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days with the last entry at 4:30 p.m.
