Claremont kids go global

The Global Gala is back at the Mary Winspear Centre. Claremont secondary’s Global Studies group offers its second fundraiser dinner at the Mary Winspear Centre on Sunday, May 8 at 6 p.m. The 100-mile meal and event features guests Federal Green Party leader Elizabeth May, Mulumba Moses, Ugandan human rights lawyer, Chris Bratset of the Extreme Kindness Crew and Nobel Peace Prize winning climate scientist Andrew Weaver. IMAX feature timely for festival

With the Victoria International Cycling Festival happening May 27 to June 12, the National Geographic IMAX Theatre is getting into the spirit with the presentation of Wired to Win: Surviving the Tour de France.The 45-minute documentary gets the viewer up close and personal with Tour riders.

Wired is slated for a limited, six-week run.
