The Penticton Arts Council in collaboration with the Penticton Art Gallery held a sneak peak of ReImagine 2017.
Live mural painting took place, presented by Arts Rising, throughout the day to realize their visions on panels surrounding the Penticton Art Gallery. The event was a teaser for the September street art festival.
A multi-disciplinary, multi-venue festival, Arts Rising will take place Sept. 21 to 24. Arts Rising will usher in the return of ReImagine Street Art Festival which was a Downtown Penticton Association initiative from 2009 to 2012. The brand new Snakebite Film Festival will feature screenings by local amateur film makers. ARTwear will return for it’s second reprise of wearable art. Peach Gravy Theatre will be providing improvisational theatre workshops as well as three dinner theatre performances in a downtown venue. There will be activities for children, the art galleries will come alive with open houses, artist talks and demonstrations and music will be in a variety of venues.
