The Fernie Arts Station is hosting a party to celebrate their 25th birthday. Set for Nov. 13, the event features multiple musical acts, a variety of refreshments and galleries open to all attendees.
Erin Teeple, administrator at the Arts Station and the organizer of the event, said that it is intended to be a fun night to celebrate the arts in Fernie.
“It’s going to be really fun and we have a great committee on board that is kind of putting everything together so it’s going to be done up quite nice,” said Teeple.
The event is set to start at 7 p.m. and will go until midnight. Teeple said that they have booked a variety of musical acts to keep the guests entertained.
“We are going to have live acts in the theatres throughout the night and we are also going to have a DJ upstairs,” she said. “We have our Celebration of the Artists of 25 years art gallery that opened last week that will be on display. We also have an historical exhibit that will be upstairs for viewing as well.”
Musical acts include Heather McDonald, Red Girl and the Relief Committee, along with an acoustic set from Shred Kelly. DJ Jay Ray will be performing upstairs, close to the cocktail bar.
“The plan, keep it busy, keep it rocking, lots to see and it’s going to be really fun,” said Teeple. “We are really looking forward to it and would like to see the community out to support and celebrate 25 years.”
Tickets to the anniversary party are $25 and can be purchased at the Arts Station or Scotiabank.
