A ballet performance called Sara and Tasha: The Redemption of Joyeuse takes place Sunday, Dec. 13 at 2 p.m. at Matsqui Centennial Auditorium, 32315 South Fraser Way.
The production is presented by AzestA Ballet Studio, an Abbotsford dance studio serving the Fraser Valley and founded by Elizabeth Lisa, a Royal Academy of Dance registered teacher.
In this Christmas time tale, two young girls born with natural talents of mischief, valour and love are stolen away in the night by mysterious forces of darkness.
It is up to their poor, fearful mother and grandmother to venture out into an enchanted forest to recover them. But they need not embark on their perilous journey alone.
Ten per cent of each ticket sold for the show will be donated to BC Children’s Hospital.
Tickets are available online at brownpapertickets.com/event/2412274.
