BJM – Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal finally returns to Duncan on Friday, Oct. 21 with a menu of alluring performances at the Cowichan Performing Arts Centre, starting at 7:30 p.m.

Virtuosity and endurance vie with spectacular beauty in a program that puts the company’s 14 dancers to the test, says promotion for the program.

Kosmo, is pure, festive energy; Mono Lisa, offers speed, and gravity-defying acrobatics executed with breathtaking control while O Balcao de Amor, is youthful, charming and even funny.

One of Canada’s most popular dance troupes, few companies in the world can match BJM for intensity.

Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal is famous for both the physical prowess and dynamic personalities of its dancers and its repertoire of contemporary works presented in a fusion that is part ballet, part modern and part street dance.

Tickets are $39 each but there are a certain number of $5 eyeGO seats available for card-carrying students.

Tickets are available at the Cowichan Ticket Centre, by phone 250-748-7529 or online at www.cowichanpac.ca
