There is still time to catch live theatre in Qualicum Beach.

Bard to Broadway is in the home stretch of their summer theatre schedule at the Village Theatre with three outstanding plays each filled with humour as well as moving moments. Disney’s The Little Mermaid will also be performed by B2B’s Teen Musical graduates August 14, 15 and 16.

Young Frankenstein will have you laughing out loud with this witty and wonderful version of Mel Brook’s classic movie. This musical includes fabulous kooky characters that you won’t soon forget.

The Long Weekend features four local theatre veterans in a tale about two couples who head to the cabin for a long weekend. But instead of having a relaxing break this hilarious comedy revolves around the couple’s clashing personalities and previous baggage.

Always a Bridesmaid is a thoroughly entertaining story written by a famous trio of writers in the United States: Jones, Hope and Wooten. In the play, four friends who swore to be at each other’s wedding’s in high school carry out their promises. Marriage turns out to be a wildly different journey for each of the women and the audience gets plenty of laughs along with many poignant moments.
