Beer and barbecue pair up for an event taking place in Abbotsford on Saturday, July 16.
The BeerBQ event is held from 1 to 5 p.m. at BC Hop Co., 1893 Cole Rd.
Brew masters will work with pit masters to compete for prizes of up to several thousands dollars for the winning teams. A total of six teams will compete, with the winners chosen by the people attending the event.
BeerBQ takes a new approach, with teams vying for the People’s Choice cash prizes for Best Food, Best Beer and Best Pairing.
Visitors can tour the BC Hop Co. farm, see the new processing facility, visit the hop fields, learn from the panel of barbecue and beer experts, and enjoy some entertainment.
