Big Band promises big entertainment

If you long for the music of yesteryear, make plans to see and hear The Cariboo Gold Band perform on Jan. 22 at the 100 Mile Community Hall.

The 17-piece golden oldie ensemble from Williams Lake, accompanied by 100 Mile vocalist Ingrid Mapson, promises a night of big-band sound that will make you want to dance the night away to Latin pieces, jazz, swing and more.

Tickets are $20 in advance only at Donex, Didi’s Work N Play, 108 Supermarket and the Free Press.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and music starts at 7:30. A no-host bar service will be available.

The Cariboo Gold Big Band Concert and Dance is being presented jointly by South Cariboo Community Concerts and New Age Entertainment.
