Thor: Ragnarok is jam packed full of action and hilarity.
The Asgardian God of Thunder is devilishly handsome, and thinks quick on his feet when he is captured and taken to another planet to fight as a slave for crowds hungry for blood.
He is met with a surprise as his brother ends up on the same planet, Loki, the God of Mischief, always has something up his sleeve, and doesn’t let his brother Thor know that he will be fighting one of his old friends in the ring.
With the help of another Asgardian, they escape the planet to try to save Asgard from its peril, realizing along the way that it must perish in order to save the people who live there.
The entire film is filled with little jokes that will keep you smiling while the unlikely crew maneuvers their way through space and time to save their planet and defeat their evil sister (who kind of shows up out of nowhere to bring down the empire of Asgard, she is the Goddess of Death after all).
Basically, once their father dies, the banished sister arrives after living for years without the brothers knowledge. She comes in, tears it up, and transforms an undead army to do her evil bidding.
Marvel is killing it lately with the movies they are producing. The effects are on point, and the storyline is addictive. If you can, I highly suggest watching as many movies as you can, hopefully in somewhat of an order, to get the full story of how all of the characters are related.
Thor is naturally arrogant, but he loses something important to him, making him humbled and in disbelief of his own power. But, that doesn’t last long, and he bounces back to his regular self, using his inner strength to save his people.
There is a certain amount of attention to detail that is important in this movie, if you’re a Marvel fan. I think some of the important pieces will resurface in future movies.
I enjoyed Thor: Ragnarok, and it will be really fun and interesting to see what happens next. I give Thor: Ragnarok seven out of 10 popcorns.
