Vancouver magician Matt Johnson was in Burns Lake last Friday with his show ‘Urban Deception.’It didn’t take long for Johnson to win over the audience with his talent and sense of humour.
Urban Deception is a mix of urban style street magic combined with the comedic timing and slick stage presence of a seasoned corporate performer.
Originally from the UK, Johnson has been performing and perfecting his craft in the art of illusion for more than 20 years. He incorporates magic, sleight of hand, mind reading, the power of suggestion, razor sharp comedy timing and audience interaction into his performance.
The magic show, which took place at Lakes District Secondary School on April 15, was a fundraiser for the Burns Lake Citizens on Patrol. Approximately 200 people attended the event. According to Ruby Matsko, the Burns Lake Citizens on Patrol will decide what to do with the proceeds next week.
