Alto saxophone player Brodie West is returning to Nanaimo for a performance at The Black Dot.
The show is Friday (Jan. 20) at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.
In his youth, West was part of the Wellington high school band and attended Malaspina College’s music program, now known as Vancouver Island University. He studied with Nanaimo’s Steve Jones and Gerry Taylor.
West has enjoyed a solo career and played with groups such as Eucalyptus, a seven-piece instrumental ensemble, and the Woodchoppers Association.
He has played in venues such as Chicago’s Centennial Park Amphitheatre and others.
Tickets are $10 available at the door. The Black Dot is located at 4 Commercial St.
