Bryan Adams returns to Okanagan with Reckless 30th anniversary tour

Bryan Adams brings his full band to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the multi-million selling album, Reckless, in Kelowna Jan. 15.

Those who missed him when he performed his sold-out Bare Bones concert at the Vernon Performing Arts Centre in February have another chance to see Bryan Adams in the Okanagan.

This time the iconic multi-platinum recording artist will be plugging in and hitting the road with his full band in January to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the multi-million selling album, Reckless.

Adams will perform a set at Kelowna’s Prospera Place Jan. 15 that will honour not only the Reckless anniversary, but a deluxe version of  the album to be released Nov. 24. It features exclusive expanded bonus material and an endless catalogue of rock classics.

Originally released in 1984, Reckless produced a record six hits, Run to You, Kids Wanna Rock, Somebody, Summer of ‘69, One Night Love Affair and It’s Only Love, a duet with the incomparable Tina Turner. Reckless also gave Adams his first U.S. number one single on the Billboard charts, with Heaven, as well as diamond status for more than one million copies sold in Canada.

The album was the turning point in Adams’ career, resulting in his hugely successful World Wide in ‘85 tour.

As Canada’s best known ambassador, Adams has spent the last three decades making music history. He has sold upward of 65 million records, toured six continents and achieved No. 1 status in more than 40 countries around the world.

He has been awarded the Order of Canada, has been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and has a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame.

Adams has been nominated for, and has won several Academy Awards, Golden Globes and Grammys. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has been inducted into Wembley’s Square of Fame.
