Three-time Juno winner and BC Entertainment Hall of Famer Jim Byrnes is bringing the blues to Langley.
On June 23, he will perform at the Cascades Casino Summit Theatre, playing true blue hits 12 Questions, Walk on Boy, Still Stuck on You, Jailbird Love Song, Me and Piney Brown, Four Until Late, Love is Just a Gamble, and Just a Pilgrim, which won the Canadian Spotlight Awards’ best music video of the year in 2006.
Joining Byrnes for this concert is special guest Babe Gurr, a roots/rock singer-songwriter, who performs a blend of roots, blues and pop.
Gurr’s music has been compared to Bonnie Raitt, Lucinda Williams, John Hiatt and Sheryl Crow while retaining her own unique sound and style.
She has been featured in various shows, including the series Higher Ground, and television show Big Sound, playing an avant-garde lounge singer.
