Carihi invites you to dinner with The Addams Family

Students in Carihi’s theatre program are hard at work on The Addams Family, their hilarious spring musical.

The Addams Family has all the familiar characters from the TV shows and movies, including Gomez, Morticia, Pugsley, Uncle Fester and Lurch, but this time Wednesday is all grown up, and in love with a “normal” boy named Lucas Beineke.

Of course, nothing is normal in the Addams Family.

Death is welcomed, ghosts are a regular part of their life, being sad is a happy thing, and truth and lies are intertwined.

When Wednesday invites the Beineke family for dinner, hilarity ensues, relationships are challenged, secrets are uncovered, and the Addams family must face the fact that change is sometimes a good thing.

“This has been one of the funniest shows we have ever worked on,” says director Christine Knight.

“It is going to be a crowd pleaser for sure.”

The show opens on Wednesday, April 5, and runs until April 8. Shows start at 7 p.m., and there is also a matinee at 2 p.m. on April 8.

Tickets are available at Carihi, or by calling 250-286-6282. Adults are $15 and students and seniors are $13.
