Fairbridge Carols 2016 is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 17, starting at 2:30 p.m.
Admission is by donation to this evergreen favourite, held in the Fairbridge strata development.
The unique heritage farm school chapel is a wonderful venue for choral and instrumental music. Featuring the Cowichan Camerata with guests, the Cowichan Consort Choir, and some of the Fairbridge area children, this should be a special afternoon for all.
You’ll hear the ‘Pastoral Symphony’, a short instrumental piece from the ‘Messiah’ in between some of the choir’s pieces, which will include ‘Unto Us a Child Is Born’.
Some of the sing-a-long carols on the program this year include traditional sacred pieces ‘What Child is This’, and ‘Lo How a Rose’, as well as the secular songs ‘Winter Wonderland’ and ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.’
People are also urged to bring a non-perishable item for the food bank.
