Performance on Sunday, Nov. 5 at Matsqui Centennial Auditorium in Abbotsford

Cascadia Wind Ensemble presents its annual Remembrance concert on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 2:30 pm at Matsqui Centennial Auditorium (32315 South Fraser Way).

The concert, titled Cascadia Remembers: A Tribute to the Liberators, features Cascadia Wind Ensemble, along with special guests the Chilliwack Philomusica Chorus and other fine instrumentalists.

The concert pays tribute to the role that Canadians have played as liberators around the world, with special focus on the Juno Beach D-Day landing and Vimy Ridge.

Also featured will be great big band music of the 1940s, including a tribute to the music of Harry James, featuring trumpeter Ed Lewis, and the music of Benny Goodman, featuring clarinetist Ben MacRae.

Tickets are $15 general and $10 for students/seniors. They are available at King’s Music in Abbotsford and Chilliwack, at the door, or online at cascadia-liberators.eventbrite.ca.
