You’re invited to the last Comox Valley event of Mayworks 2012. Words & Songs is an open mic event where people who don’t normally sing or do spoken word pieces in public are encouraged to do just that.
Whether it’s an original song, music or spoken word, or a favourite by someone else, come by May 25 at 7 p.m. at the Freakin’ Coffee Shop on Rosewall Crescent.
The event is based around themes such as work and social justice but it’s really an event to encourage the artist inside all of us. We’re a friendly and accepting crowd so have no fear!
