All-ages event filled with traditional Irish reels, jigs, polkas and songs

Celebrate St. Patrick with a Crikey Mor ceilidh Saturday.

The Irish traditional band delivers a tightly arranged whirlwind of traditional Irish reels, jigs, polkas and songs to keep your spirit moving.

With Nancy Grossert on fiddle, Tasia MacKay on flute, Eric Reiswig on uilleann pipes, Jeremy Walsh on guitar, Andrew Morris on bodhran and all on vocals, Crikey Mor is in high demand as one of the best and most authentic Irish Traditional music bands in the Pacific Northwest.

Also on stage for the March 18 Celtic party will be special guest My Boulder House, featuring West Coast musicians Janelle Tiessen, Michael Wilford, Rowan Osborne and Joshua Litton. As members of critically acclaimed fiddle ensembles they’ve toured Canada and Europe and have been nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award, blending their passion and talent into unforgettable music.

​This fun, all-ages event will be filled with traditional Irish reels, jigs, polkas and songs to keep your spirit moving and your feet tapping.

Traditional Irish food and drinks will also be on offer in the licensed, all-ages Upstairs Lounge at the Oak Bay Recreation Centre, 1975 Bee St. Doors open at 6 p.m. for dinner service, with music starting at 7:30 p.m.
