Celebrate nature throughout Parksville Qualicum Beach at the Opening Night Celebration for the 24th Brant Wildlife Festival on March 1.
The event takes place at the Bayside Bistro in Parksville from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will include music by Dave Marco, burgers and beverages.
There will be a nature photo display by the Oceanside Photographers Club and a silent auction.

On Saturday, March 1, two other related events will take place surrounding the Brant Festival, one is a Seeking a Balance boat tour and the other The Lion, the Bear, The Fox in concert.
Seeking a Balance will have guests viewing the Ballenas-Winchelsea Archipelago by boat and The Nature Trust of BC property on Craig Creek by foot, followed by lunch. The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and costs $150. Call the phone number above or e-mailĀ rrivers@naturetrust.bc.ca for tickets.
The Lion, The Bear, The Fox is running as a complementary Brant Festival event Saturday evening, but is now sold out. The Brant Festival is a celebration of nature, particularly Brant geese, as they rest and feed on the shores of Parksville Qualicum Beach.
