The Celtic Tenors perform in Abbotsford on Saturday, Nov. 21 in a concert also featuring the Canada West Chamber Orchestra, members of the Abbotsford Youth Orchestra and local Irish dancers.
The concert begins at 7 p.m. at Gateway Community Church, 2884 Abbotsford-Mission Hwy.
Presented by Calvin Dyck, the program features favourite songs from Ireland, Broadway, classical opera, and some of the Celtic Tenors’ own arrangements of traditional Christmas carols.
With a polished international reputation and just over a million album sales under their belts (No. 1 chart positions in Ireland and Germany and No. 2 in the UK), the Celtic Tenors are coming off a successful tour of Australia and the U.S. with Celtic Woman.
Come meet Matthew Gilsenan of County Meath, James Nelson of Sligo, and Daryl Simpson of Omagh in Northern Ireland, with musical director Colm Henry at the piano.
These classically trained tenors excel in stacked, spine-tingling, three-part harmonies and quick-witted banter between one another and the audience – all delivered with their Irish brogue and rollicking good humour.
The Celtic Tenors recently released the album Timeless and a new holiday album, Together for Christmas.
Tickets for the concert are available at King’s Music or at House of James.
