Centennial Belles step up with fundraiser for Rollin centre

Tea on the Terrace, kids programs and more on the Alberni arts scene this week.

The Centennial Belles are set to present another fabulous historical fashion show; titled, Symphony in White, on Sunday, Aug. 9 as a fundraiser for the Rollin Art Centre.

This exquisite fashion show, featuring white promenade and tea gowns, wedding gowns and some never-before-seen items, will take place under the canopy of the trees on the terrace at the Rollin Art Centre from 2-4 p.m. Special musical guests include Sandy Bouleau.

Proceeds from this fashion show will  benefit the Rollin Art Centre’s many programs that have just recently been cut by the government. Tickets are $20 and include refreshments. Tickets are on sale now at the Rollin Art Centre.

Terrace teas help Rollin too

The Rollin Art Centre is very lucky to have a great musical lineup this year to help our summer Teas on the Terrace fundraiser.

Yes, you heard right, when you purchase your tickets you are also helping to raise funds for the Rollin Art Centre. This is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, while helping to raise much needed funds for the Rollin Art Centre. Experience the Rollin Art Centre’s version of  “high tea” under the canopy of trees with treats courtesy of  Harvest Thyme Fine Foods.

Tickets are on sale at the Rollin Art Centre. Tickets are $12 seniors/students, $15 adults and $10 for children under 12.

Teas begin at 1 p.m. and run until 3 p.m.

The Old-Time Fiddlers will entertain at the Aug. 6 tea, while Marilyn Smith will sing some original tunes and play guitar for the Aug. 13 event.

Still room in kids programs

The Rollin Art Centre invites children aged 7-12 to participate in our summer art programs.

Weekly camps are only $40; there is still room in the last two camps.

Aug 11, 12 & 14: Picture Books

Aug 18, 19 & 21: School Supplies.
