Cesar Millan is looking for a few dogs from the Okanagan when he comes to Penticton in November.

On Nov. 8, the dog behavourist, TV host and author brings his Trust Your Instincts seminar to the South Okanagan Events Centre. During the seminar, Millan will work with select local dogs to demonstrate and educate the audience.

“My new seminar tour will give dog owners the tools to recognize how to create an environment of balance and calmness for their dogs. This will prevent and resolve everyday problems,” said Millan.

Millan’s team is now recruiting socialized dogs, over the age of 18 months, that show hyperactive tendencies and behaviours such as lead pulling, food rushing, jumping, excessive barking and obsession with an object or toy.

To apply, fill out the form at http://cesarmillanlive.com/dog-application/

Millan’s team will review the applications and shortlist suitable canine candidates. A meeting will then be  set up with Millan’s team before the seminar in Penticton. During this stage, dogs will demonstrate everyday behaviour problems that their owners face at home. With each dog, Millan’s team will ensure the dog’s welfare and appropriateness for demonstration.

Finally, during the seminar at the SOEC, pre-selected dogs and owners will take to the stage.

Tickets for the Trust Your Instincts seminar are on sale now for $24.50, $49.50, $69.50 and VIP $125, which includes entry into a group Q&A session with Millan following the seminar. Tickets can be purchased at www.ValleyFirstTix.com or by telephone at 1-877-763-2849.

Only humans, demonstration dogs and approved service guide dogs will be admitted into the venue.
