Looking for a way to leisurely spend part of your weekend?
Why not check out the 10th annual Fernwood Art Stroll, happening at various artists’ residences and locations around this funky Victoria neighbourhood. From the acrylic landscapes, abstracts and prints of Michael Bourque, to the realism watercolour and acrylics of Sharon Churchill, to the photography of Tony Sprackett, there are many forms represented on the tour.
As well, for the month of June the Little Fernwood Gallery in the community association building at 1923 Fernwood Rd. is hosting With Glowing He(arts), a collection of pieces done by members of the Pandora Arts Collective and guest artists from the MS art studio.
The venues are open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 10 and 11. For more information on the artists and a map of the Stroll locations, visit fernwoodartstroll.ca or simply drop by the village centre at Fernwood Road and Gladstone Avenue and pick up a brochure at any of the sponsor merchants such as the Cornersrtone Cafe or Fernwood Inn.
