The talents of hundreds of young dancers, musicians and singers will fill the Cultural Centre and the G.W. Graham theatre for a whole month during the Chilliwack Lions Club Music and Dance Festival.
Presented by the Chilliwack Lions Club, the festival is now in its 70th year and will run Feb. 4 until March 9 with a dance honours performance March 5 and a music honours performance April 1.
The festival will feature performances in several types of dance, including jazz, ballet, street, and more. Vocals, strings, piano and other instruments will make up the music portion. Both music and dance will have individual and group competitions.
Here’s the schedule for the 70th annual Chilliwack Lions Club Music and Dance Festival. All performances take place at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre, unless otherwise noted:

The Dance Honours Performance will take place Sunday, March 5 at 1:30 p.m. at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre. The Music Honour Performance will be on Saturday, April 1 at 7 p.m. at Broadway Church (46611 Maple Ave.).

Admission: for individual session $5/person or $15/family (up to six people – parents and siblings of performer); for festival season pass $20. These admissions are available in cash only from the festival table.
Admission for honours performances: $10/person per performance, or $25/family (up to four people). Tickets to the dance honours performance can only be purchased at the Cultural Centre’s box office; tickets to the music honours performance are available at the festival table or King’s Music (45450 Luckakuck Way).
