City of Nanaimo installs temporary art downtown

NANAIMO - The City of Nanaimo installed several art pieces during Public Art Week, May 16-20.



The City of Nanaimo installed several pieces of temporary art along the waterfront walkway and Maffeo Sutton Park last week during Public Art Week, May 16-20.

There were six pieces installed as of Friday and there are three remaining pieces that need to be installed and the city expects to finish the installation this week.

The art includes: Sqae-am by William Good, Resonance by Scott Gillies, l-o-v-e Is In The Air by Mia Tremblay and Craig Lambie, Cerebrum Digitalis by Maggie Wouterloot, Coastal Connections by Laura Timmermans, Passage by Labspace Studios, Core by Bryan Faubert, Kelpt by Angellos Glaros and The Porthole by Bil Derby, Cherine and Will Melville and Victoria Drakeford.
