People interested in shaping the cultural landscape of Nanaimo can share their ideas during the City’s Cultural Plan Community Visioning Forum.
The forum, which will be facilitated by consultants from Nanaimo Design Nerds, is Thursday (Jan. 17) 6-9:30 p.m. at the Nanaimo Art Gallery’s downtown location.
The plan is meant to create a community vision that will guide future development.
It is part of the cultural mapping process to identify assets and resources and identify strengths and weaknesses.
Once complete it will be used to create a cultural portal where people will be able to find information on all of the city’s cultural assets and resources.
The portal will include public art, artists, venues, organizations, festivals and events, cultural and natural heritage and more.
