Coffee House concert series begins

The Mission Coffee House Concert Series presents the first in a musical series between Saturday and next May, beginning with The Honey Flowers.

The Honey Flowers is the musical duo of Betty Berda and Shelley Stevens. Several years ago at a music gathering they found a common interest in both their musical tastes and songwriting.

Every time they performed together at open mics or house parties and people heard their heavenly harmonies and original tunes, they were asked what band they were in and where they were playing next. As a result the Honeyflowers were born.

The Mission Coffee House Concert Series evening starts with an open stage at 7 p.m. and then the main act plays at 8 p.m. Admission is $5 and the event is held at the Mission Community Activity Centre at 10 Avenue and Taulbut Street in Mission.

Volunteers put the event together to provide a place for local musicians to play. For more information email: steppingstonemusic@shaw.ca.
