Lights, cameras and old acquaintances will take centre stage for an upcoming anniversary celebration.
The West Shore-based Four Seasons Musical Theatre, renowned for its popular performances throughout Greater Victoria, celebrates 40 years of quality entertainment with a special event this Saturday (July 25).
It’s a celebration of theatre in the community and beyond, said Jessica Bambrough, Four Seasons Musical Theatre board member at large.
“It’s a great opportunity for performers, directors, stage hands, organizers and volunteers past and present to get reacquainted,” she said. “We’re also inviting theatre groups from throughout the area to perform and celebrate with us.”
Many local children and adults have received the gift of theatre by working on stage and back stage with Four Seasons, said Herma Raymond, a “proud supporter” of the troupe for the past 30 years. “Their performances are absolutely amazing.”
The anniversary gathering is a great way for people to come together and celebrate what Four Seasons Musical Theatre has achieved, she added.
The event takes place at 6 p.m. at the Langford Legion at 761 Station Ave.
Tickets cost $20 for adults and $8 for children four and older. Food is included in the price of the tickets and beverages are available for purchase.
Seating is limited, so organizers recommend purchasing tickets without delay. Tickets are available online at fourseasonsmusicaltheatre.com, or at Westside Inst-A-Print at 2811 Jacklin Rd., Jennings Florists at 2508 Estevan Ave., The Sharkz Store at #101-1245 Esquimalt Ave., and Ivy’s Bookshop at 2188 Oak Bay Ave.
