The Comox Valley Art Gallery is presenting a virtual film series to provide local audiences with access to new, high-quality films from the Toronto International Film Festival.
“This is great news for film lovers,” said Catherine Quinn, organizer of the CVAG film series. “It will still be a long time before we can get back into the theatre, but we wanted people to still have access to these great films.”
The first film in the series, First Cow, is available this week, until March 7.
“It’s a beautiful piece set in the early 1800s in Oregon, and it definitely tells a different kind of story than we usually see in Westerns,” said Quinn.
The series includes five films, running until April 4. Each $12 film is available for one week. You can view trailers and purchase tickets by following the links at www.comoxvalleyartgallery.com/projects/film-series/
