Spring is in the air, outdoors as well as in, as the Craig Bay Choristers prepare for their spring concert, Music is Everywhere, next Thursday in Parksville.
The group of more than 70 singers are all from Craig Bay and often sell out their Christmas concerts. Music at this concert will range from touching hymns like Panis Angelicus to popular hits like Doo Wah Diddy.
There will be some front line choreography to accompany one memorable number during the concert and audience participation will be encouraged.
Kelly Volk will direct the choir, with Carl McLuhan on piano, Wally Chinn on percussion and Stan Brown and George Furniss on guitar.
Audience members will also enjoy singing from special guests École Pauline Haarer Elementary School Choir from Nanaimo and their director Karen Withers Janssen. Janssen is an accomplished flautist and will be accompanying the Choristers on some pieces.
The concert happens at Knox United Church next Thursday, May 12 at 7 p.m. Admission is by donation.
